Eurogamer – when not busy staging their London Games Festival this weekend – have new video up of the keenly-anticipated Rocksteady Games sequel, “Batman – Arkham City”.
Am I allowed to confess that I didn't finish the first game?
It’s Joker-centric, looks neat and there’s no way on Earth that I’ll have time to play it.
I have “WH40K – Space Marine” to power through, “Gears 3” to start and I’m swearing off anything else until “Uncharted 3” in November: no time for “Battlefield 3” or “Modern Warfare 3” (neither of which are my thing, to be honest) or “Skyrim” either.
Can some start-up do the decent thing and get on that time-freezing thing, please?
This, Tim Burton, is how to do "Alice in Wonderland" properly, you goth plum!
I was leafing through Aidan Moher’s excellent fantasy book blog, “A Dribble of Ink” today and came upon this quite awesome example of fantasy art by Julie Dillon – there’s some really excellent work on her site, some of which has video games cross-over (as above and see her Samus Aran painting for extra credit).

The lovely chaps at the Tor blog have posted a story which seems to put the ‘No “Who” in 2012’ rumour to rest. It would appear that the show will have a full run, in the Autumn of next year – which, to be honest, is fine by me if it turns out to be true.
Autumnal "Who"? Yes please!
There’s something about “Who” which suits an Autumnal time slot – a thread of melancholy, a gothic quality, a lack of lighting – whatever it is, it works for me. Rather selfishly, this probably means that ratings might be a tad higher, too, if it plays at the same time as next year’s season of “Strictly Come Dancing”. Lovely, lovely extra viewers tuning in early and adding to “Who” ratings – make it so.
…is over at Gizmodo, where they report that scientists at UC Berkeley have developed a system to capture visual activity in the brain and reconstruct it on a computer. Or, the first steps towards ‘dream recording’, for want of a better phrase.
Does Not Want 8 Foot-tall Snakeman...
‘Mind.Blown’ as the young people might say. Not that I wish to jump the gun in any way, but I am taking this to mean that Holodecks are imminent.
