Sabaton? Eluveitie? Wisdom? Oh My…

Yes, I’m off to see a gig – entry-level image manipulation courtesy of Paint.Net

Hark at me with my beginner’s level image manipulation skills!  I’m off to see Sweden’s finest lovable Power Metal loons Sabaton at Sheffield’s Corporation tonight – I’ll probably be the guy in the Delain shirt.  Be sure and say “Hi!” – and their ready, willing and able tour mates Swiss Pagan Metal folks Eluveitie and Polish Trad Metal dudes Wisdom.

Expect a noisy time to be had by all and ear-plugs to be firmly stuffed in-ear by anybody over the age of 35 once things get going.  A report will be with soon, I imagine.

Two gigs in a week- surely some mistake?

Autumn Fires Burning

Greek Power Metal mania courtesy of Firewind

Further to yesterday’s “Support Your Scene!” post, I’m going to have to find myself an equivalent gig by an up-and-coming local/unsigned rock band to go to in September as I’ve just bought a ticket to see Greek Power Metallists Firewind in September, supported by German/Norse ethereal folk metal maestra Leaves Eyes.

Leaves Eyes – get some ‘beauty and the beast’ metal into your life…

I’ll be keeping an eye out for likely bands and report back when an opportunity to Support My Scene shows itself…

Also, in Rawk News…

Just to round out the evening’s updates, my Friday November 4th’s evening entertainment is now accounted for.

Italy’s pre-eminent, neo-gothic metallurgists, Lacuna Coil are playing at Corporation in Sheffield, now supported by Knoxville, Tennessee’s own Straight Line Stitch, bringing their own brand of metalcore raucous ruckus.

I am, needless to say, all over this bill (albeit sensibly ear-plugged and teetotal, as per).
